The Big Fat Christmas Quiz!

The Big Fat Christmas Quiz is a ready-to-use, teen-friendly Christmas quiz for KS3–4 that fills a full lesson with meaningful fun. Instead of focusing only on snow, presents and trivia, this quiz explores what this time of year can really be about: light, hope, community, mental health and fair, sustainable celebrations.

The quiz is structured as a Canva-style presentation with ten themed rounds, each with approximately 8–10 questions:

• Round 2: Winter, Seasons & the Natural World

• Round 3: Stories, Myths & Legends

• Round 4: Celebrations Around the World

• Round 5: Community, Kindness & Solidarity

• Round 6: Food, Family & Shared Tables

• Round 7: Music, Art & Creativity

• Round 8: Reflection, Rest & Mental Health

• Round 9: History, Power & “Who Tells the Story?”

• Round 10: Sustainable & Ethical Celebrations

Students answer in teams or individually using a clear expectations slide: they note the round number, question number and their answer (A/B/C/D or True/False). Most questions are multiple choice or true/false, making the quiz accessible for a wide range of learners and easy to run as a cover lesson, form-time activity or end-of-term treat.

Every round is paired with an answer-key slide, so you can either mark as you go or save the big reveal for the end. The language is inclusive and suitable for students who celebrate Christmas religiously, culturally or not at all. Topics such as stress, money worries, abandoned pets and climate impact are handled sensitively, making the quiz ideal for PSHE, tutor time, RE, English or any group session where you want a balance of fun and thoughtfulness.
